HCPC registered Consultant Counselling Psychologist providing psychological therapy, supervision and training in North London and online.

Practice update: I am seeing clients mostly via online platforms until the Covid19 situation has further stabilised. If you are a new referral, please email me and we can discuss whether you would prefer to be seen by Skype, Zoom, Vsee or Face Time. I am seeing a small number of clients face to face but places are limited.
Welcome to my website. I am a HCPC registered Counselling Psychologist and an Associate Fellow of the BPS. I have been providing a professional, confidential and effective private therapy service in London for over 20 years. I work from consulting rooms in Highgate, London N6 (close to Muswell Hill, Archway, Tufnell Park and Kentish Town) and Bloomsbury, Central London (WC1). I offer face to face and online therapy services using Zoom, Skype and Vsee.
Trained in the Cognitive Behavioural Therapy approach but offering an integrative service, I see adults, couples and young people experiencing psychological distress and in need of therapeutic support. I have worked for the NHS as a psychologist in mental health for over 15 years and I am a Senior Lecturer on the Professional Doctorate In Counselling Psychology teaching team at London Metropolitan university as well as an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Experienced at working with a broad range of general mental health presentations (including anxiety and depression), I also have particular experience at working with women's physical health and wellbeing including reproductive health, pregnancy and parenting, infertility, gynaecological disorders and the menopause.
My practice covers the following presenting issues:
Overcoming Anxiety, Fear and Panic
Coping With Depression
Low Self Esteem and Lack of Confidence
Childhood trauma and abuse
Worry and Obsessive Thinking
Stress Management
Living with Chronic Medical Conditions
Improving Relationships and Conflict Resolution
Building Confidence and Cultivating Self Compassion
Managing Difficult Life Transitions
Women's Health including Fertility Issues, New Parenthood, Menopause and Hormonal Disorders
Perfectionism
Body Issues
Trained in CBT but using an Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) approach (which includes Mindfulness), I work with clients to minimise the power of negative emotional thinking and work toward a valued life in which self acceptance and self compassion is key. Clients are encouraged to transform their relationship to their thoughts and thereby reduce anxiety by engaging with behavioural and cognitive change. I work primarily with adults although I also have extensive experience working with young adults managing a transition to college or struggling to cope with university life and beyond.
I am an approachable and flexible psychologist who will structure therapeutic contact around each individual client’s needs. I see clients for time limited therapy as well as offering longer term contracts where appropriate. Many of my clients return to me for short periods when life events require them to seek further support and I encourage this level of flexibility.
My main North London therapy practice is in Swains Lane, Highgate, moments from Hampstead Heath and close to both Gospel Oak rail station and Kentish Town underground station. The practice is also easy to get to from Archway, Tufnell Park and Muswell Hill. There is street parking at the Highgate practice after 12pm.
My Central London therapy practice is at 26 Bloomsbury Street which is a short walk from Tottenham Court Road, Russell Square or Holborn Underground stations. For a map Click Here
